Parental Transition

Moving from a career to becoming a parent can be quite daunting and a monumental life shift for many of us.  Within the workforce both Mums and Dads need to be supported to find the right work/family balance and managers are embracing the need for education to support their employees through this change.

Parental Transition Coaching is for those who are currently in the workforce and leaving on maternity/paternity leave, for those coming back into the workforce after leave or for those who's children have flown the nest and are questioning the next stage of their life. There is a shift from worker to parent and partner to parent and it is important that we have the time to explore these changes and understand the affects this may have on us, whether this be personally or financially or both.

  • Am I ready to leave the familiarity of the work place?

  • What is my identity going to be?

  • What is my support network (and why do I need one)?

  • What are my personal needs now and what will they look like in the future?

  • How do I know if I am ready to return to work and what may that look like?

  • How can I be a working parent?

  • As a manager how can I best support my team at this time?

The techniques that are gained from this type of coaching are also used in other areas of life where change is forced upon us such as loss, grief and adapting to the 'new norm'

“ I started my coaching journey in the beginning of December 2021. At that time, I was not in a good place emotionally. Maryan’s friendly and caring approach immediately put me at ease.  Providing a lovely safe space, she helped me set achievable goals along the way and was pivotal in guiding me to healthier and much happier times. Today I feel like a totally different person!

Thank you so much Maryan, I cannot recommend you highly enough to people."
